My name is Douglas Wade and I live in Lancaster California. I work for an Aerospace company (they do not like their name mentioned), but it is not Lockheed or Boeing here in the Aerospace Valley. I am software engineer working with SGML/XML technologies. My wife and I have two children (one teen (16) and one (12) tween). I also have a dog, my best buddy named Mr. Chip.
I started this blog as a diary or journal. It not intended to be a popular blog. Honestly, it is about being accountable to friends and family. Friends can read along and encourage me. Writing about my fitness and weighloss is all about me, I am no expert nor am I formally trained in the fitness, but I trying to be honest about what I am doing.

Hi Doug. Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope to find someone to help with the gps also. There are quite a few local folks that geocache so maybe I’ll find the right person. I am not a manual reader also although hubby is. I home schooled our kids for quite a few years. Our youngest son just graduated from hs and is off to college.
