Teri and I got out to run about 7:00pm Thursday at Joe Walker Middle School. As we arrived, they (soccer team and coach) turned off the lights. There was enough light to see from the nearby park.
I know I wanted to run longer, so I ran the lubrication lap 400m and walked 400m. I then [...]

After church on Sunday, I saw Dave Schroeder who use to own Cyclepath, a bike shop in town. He has an injured knee, but wanted to get back on the bike. He asked if I wanted to go. He invited one of the pastors, David Jackson and another guy named Dan, which I met today.
We [...]

I got up and out the door at 7:00am to go running. It was cold around 30-32 degrees. I headed over to Quartz Hill High School. I did my second time of the routine, of 400 run, 400 walk, followed by 1200 run, 400 run; repeated four times. Here is the motionbased account.
As I was [...]

Saturday’s ride was good. I set out to an average of 17.5 mph. When I uploaded my GPS data, it came in a disappointment only 16.7. Every-time I looked down I was higher then 17.5, but took a little longer to ride 110th from Avenue G to Avenue K. Here is the results on Motionbased.

I went over to Quartz Hill High School to do some bleacher work (run up and down). The bleachers have 56 steps and is a bit steeper then those at Antelope Valley College. The bleachers have four aisles while AVC has six. I did 16 sets (ups and downs) and was not tired. I had [...]

To all I wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving.
Today, I walked three miles with Teri and my dog chip. I went over to AVC to run, and the gates were locked. They had signs on them, “closed to construction”. I have been told they are demolishing the stadium to build a new one, I am not [...]
Blood Pressure

Today is an exciting day. I usually get my blood pressure measured on Monday before lunch (and many other times during the week [grin]). I set a 2007 resolution to get my blood pressure to be under 120/80 and 50 or below, measured by our one of nurses at work. Today’s measurement is 118/68 and [...]
Running Schedule

Lately, I and Teri have been running. The first goal in my running is to run in the High Deserts Runner’s Jingle Bell Jog on December 15th. I have a personal goal to run it without stopping to walk. As of to date, I never run that distance without walking.
I have a plan (been using [...]
Weight Loss (or gain)

I have not been excited to post my weight loss, because it has been some gains. I have been eating too much and not walking as much as I should. I have been holding on to the same weight. I just lack the commitment to eat well. I need to find the motivation and get [...]
Saturday’s Ride – 46 Miles

I went over to Gil’s Bike Shop at 8:00am to see if anyone was there to ride. I met Doug Short and Alvin. These guys are experienced riders, which I liked. We headed over to Apollo Park to see if any other riders would be there. Then we headed out to 110th west. It was [...]
